Chick Corea and the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra at Tokyo Jazz 2006

The Norwegian jazz big band Trondheim Jazz Orchestra performed at Tokyo Jazz 2006 on September 2, along with the world famous, multiple Grammy Award winning piano player Chick Corea.
The performance, which was held at the Tokyo International Forum in Marunouchi, was a rare chance for the Norwegian band to perform alongside one of the biggest acts in jazz music.
Last out among the performers on September 2., Chick Corea and the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra rounded up the evening in a spectacular manner, using several compositions created by the orchestra's conductor Erlend Skomsvoll. They were received warmly by the audience of about 5000, and got a standing ovation at the end of the show.
